No próximo dia 11 de Novembro realizaremos conjuntamente com os "Ciclo-Serrenhos" e com o apoio da ADAR-Ofimoto o 1º Passeio BTT, cujo trajecto foi cuidadosamente seleccionado para permitir, quer aos especialistas, quer aos iniciantes na modalidade, um passeio emocionante com travessia de ribeiras, veredas, a Ponte Romana, o caminho medieval de Santiago, algumas subidas, descidas e muito ar puro.
A Vila de Alcanede situada no limite norte do concelho de Santarém, tem mais de 800 anos de história, fundada pelo nosso Rei D.Afonso Henriques, o que só por si é merecedor de uma visita, podendo juntar a isto o prazer de ajudar a causa dos Bombeiros, pois as eventuais receitas destinam-se em exclusivo para apoiar a construção do nosso Quartel.

São esperados craques nacionais da modalidade, estando a prova aberta à participação de amadores que pretendam experimentar esta alucinante actividade em que os participantes vão percorrer 1 km pedalando a uma grande velocidade. Os concorrentes vão partir da zona do Parque Radical (junto ao Castelo da Cidade) descendo, a toda a velocidade, até ao Largo do Chafariz, cruzando escadas, ruas íngremes e becos estreitos do Centro Histórico. Durante o percurso estarão preparados alguns obstáculos dando ainda mais espectacularidade às manobras com bicicletas todo-o-terreno.
